Snapper Riding Mower Blade Recall

October 31st, 2006 by admin

I guess there is a good reason to always buy original lawnmower parts.

Blount International Inc. is recalling replacement blades for Snapper Riding Lawnmowers.

When the lawnmower is operated, the replacement blade can crack and pieces can break away, posing a serious laceration hazard to consumers and bystanders.

It’s a nationwide recall on all Oregon® and Silver Streak® replacement blades sold from November 2002 until August 2006.

The prices range from $16.00 to $28.00 for the replacement blade and I think you can get original Snapper made blade for around $36.00.

Sounds like a good savings but I doubt the fake blade last as long with pieces flying all over the place.
